How far away should we be from the things we want to understand?

An endless theater unfolds: a water pump and a beam of light meet at a horizon of water cutting through the sculpture’s center. Light paints the volume as it enters and leaves, while the pump sustains a fragile yet robust landscape of circulation. Shifts in scale—instant and durational—surface as interference patterns across the water. Inspired by the ecosystem of a whale fall, the work stages collapse and renewal in a single, continuous exchange.
